Every business needs reliable and repeat customers to do well. This are the things that could help you develop your own approach to upselling products in your business:
1) Start with the people who come to you 75% of the time in a regular basis. I'm talking about people who come in your house approximately once a week.
2) Develop relationships with your current customers. This can be done by going to their advertising or promotional materials at home or in the workplace. Work hard to reinforce your relationship with your customers by sending them candidates for services and products.
3) If you only allow your current customers into your marketing system once a month, chances are that you won't be able to upsell this product to your prospects. Since the quality of your products is a big factor to your customers turning into repeat customers, you have to be sure to get into a cost cutting status before you introduce a new product to your customers.
4) Pricing works when you have people who like that product and are easy for you to reach. If you only have that one level of customer, it will be like throwing ice water in your business mixture because you won't know how to ask for repeat customers who have the money to buy again, and that should make you uncomfortable.
Think of it this way, if your people, your regular customers, don't smile at you, it can be a very, very slow month for you. Ask for feedback from your customers and who knows what the end result may be.
